NVIDIA Inception

NVIDIA Global Rolling

Overview

NVIDIA Inception is a free membership programme for startups whose work depends on accelerated computing. It is not an accelerator: there is no equity, no fee and no fixed cohort. Members get technical training, access to SDKs and model libraries, preferred pricing on selected hardware and software, partner offers, cloud credits from NVIDIA and its partners, and, for eligible companies, introductions through NVIDIA's venture network. A portal holds the recommendations, benefit requests and programme news. The net is deliberately wide, from a prototype on one GPU to a production inference service.

Who it's for

The published criteria are concrete: an incorporated company with a live website, less than ten years old, actively run by at least one founder, and a clear reason to use NVIDIA technology. Revenue is not required, and existing GPU usage is not a precondition, since part of the value is working out which parts of the stack fit. Consultancies, outsourced development firms, companies tied to cryptocurrency, cloud service providers, resellers, distributors and public companies are excluded.

What you get

Three layers. Technically: SDKs, model libraries, self-paced courses, discounted instructor-led workshops, developer forums and a monthly member newsletter. Commercially: preferred pricing on a subset of enterprise GPUs and software, which functions as a rebate against supplier prices rather than a direct sale, plus partner offers and cloud credits. Strategically: badges and co-branded assets, curated events that bring startups and investors into one room, and Inception Capital Connect introductions for companies that qualify.

How to apply

Apply through the programme portal with company details, a product description and a pitch deck; the deck is not decoration, because it feeds the workload recommendations and go-to-market suggestions you receive. The team reviews the application and replies with next steps, after which the portal becomes the working surface: add product details, request the benefits you need, give colleagues access, and keep the profile current. Funding status is collected to judge fit for investor introductions, not as an entry test. Membership continues while the profile remains accurate.

Timing

Rolling. There are no application fees, deadlines or cohorts, so there is no intake to wait for: applications are reviewed as they arrive, and membership lasts while the company remains eligible and keeps its portal profile updated. Current criteria and benefit terms are on the official page.

How to stand out

Keep the profile alive. Benefits and introductions are routed from what the portal knows about your product, so a stale profile costs you opportunities. In the first weeks, join a new-member welcome session and work through the onboarding email series, then ask for the specific benefit you need, not the bundle. Treat GPU preferred pricing as a rebate with no guaranteed allocation, and plan capacity so a discount never becomes a dependency.

FAQ

Do we need to be using NVIDIA GPUs already?

No. The programme is open to teams still deciding which accelerated stack fits; self-paced courses and technical guidance are part of what membership provides.

Does membership cost anything or take equity?

No. Inception is free, with no application fee, no membership fee and no equity requirement.
